ROLE &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work attentively in maintaining,
repairing, and servicing customer vehicles to ensure safety and customer
satisfaction as well as overall department success;
- Perform vehicle maintenance and
repairs;
- Diagnose the source of any
malfunctions and perform required repairs;
- Examine vehicles to determine if
additional safety or service work is required;
- Provide written, prioritized quotes
for necessary additional work;
- Explain procedures and repairs
directly to the Service Advisor;
- Perform road tests and safety
inspections;
- Maintain the cleanliness of personal
and team workspaces;
- Complete technical training as per
GM standards.
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- GMC
Technician experience is preferred;
- A
valid G class license with a clean driver's abstract;
- The
ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and
specifications;
- The
ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
- The
ability to work individually and as part of a team;
- Have
up-to-date knowledge of automotive parts and their functions;
- The
ability to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly;
- Possess
a high level of integrity and work ethic.
