Service Advisor
NewRoads Toyota Newmarket, a division of the NewRoads Automotive Group is hiring a Service Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy service centre!
Responsibilities of a Service
Advisor role include:
- Greeting
each customer in a prompt, courteous manner, letting customers who are
waiting in line know that they will be helped soon;
- Communicating
with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems;
- Securing
agreement from customers before repairs; covering cost estimate; and
approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed;
- Maintaining
a dealership-prescribed standard for "hours per customer repair order
written";
- Advising
customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their
vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, using
maintenance menus;
- Explaining
optional services, warranty information, and policies to customers;
- Handling
minor customer complaints and misunderstandings;
- Communicating
the need for additional work when needed, explaining the details to the
customer, including the additional cost and time consideration, and
documenting properly on the repair order;
- Following
up on the progress of each repair order during the day, contacting customers
regarding changes in the estimate or time promised;
- Handling
telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and
returning phone messages promptly;
- Staying
up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles
serviced by the dealership;
- Advising
customers of parts ordered and making an appointment to have them
installed before the customer leaves;
- Refer
leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales
departments;
- Assisting
the Service Manager as necessary.
What You Offer:
- A minimum of 2 years of Service Advisor experience;
- Ability
to multi-task, organized and be detail-oriented;
- Clean
Drivers Abstract.
